Do claimed mind transforming techniques actually work?

Do techniques like Silva ultramind, Quantum image streaming, Dual-N-Back work?

I don’t know anything about it, but I’d be wary about claims of “ESP” or “psychic” abilities in general.

It looks like there is a discussion about that here: Quantum wave streaming

Thanks!

People make too much of visualization. It is their expectations that get in their way. When you are reading a novel that is also visualization. When you are trying to visualize something and it is hard to do, describing it out loud does the trick. The Dual-N-Back look like some kind of memory training but I don’t see how that would increase your IQ.

I agree entirely with your perspective on visualisation.
Regarding Dual-N-Back, it is true that this training tool “claims” to enhance your working memory and short-term memory, which will enhance your fluid intelligence. I myself was taken a back by such outrageous claims, but eventually came across research that seemed to support them, as well as discussions about how it also increased people’s concentration power.

Note: No research were conducted with a suitable controlled group design or with participants who practised it for an extended period of time (years). Was considering doing it, but the time commitment is significant given the possibility that the outcome may not be what you were hoping for.
Exercise for the sole purpose of IQ improvement is immature play. While certain parts of the brain can be trained to enhance specific activities, whether these improvements will translate to other areas of our daily lives is still up for debate.

“Quantum” is a red flag. Actually it screams “Bull***t”

Unless it’s actually about physics, the word is co-opted for its woo woo effect.
