Memorization word for word does not mean that you need to convert each word into an image. You can convert a whole page into a single image, you’d need to be very mindful of what you’re doing. Techniques in combination as @elitely mentioned: method of loci + link system (though simply more spots/loci/locations would suffice).

Further, I would recommend you to focus in your school learning with the method of loci, link system, maybe an peg systems for numbers and letters preferably in your base language alphabet. Chemistry and physics formulas and symbols: alphabet pegs systems are to be considered.
