I am confused as to how I could connect my memory palaces for different topics within a subject and also multiple subjects within a group (like a folder ). I have 5 different Papers which have multiple different subjects having multiple subtopics even though all are very different. for example one of my papers have 3 subjects: History-(Ancient,Medieval,World,Modern); Geography(Physical,Human,Disaster Management,Agriculture); Society & Culture( ideologies, contemporary concerns, heritage, etc). I have 4 other papers with other subjects as well to include.Earlier I didn’t use the loci method and as a result I had various pneumonics and chained stories floating around in my head which would get lost in time somewhere. As a result I have just started building my memory palace but I need some help organising it. So How do I go about creating a structured system of memory palaces and link them such that I can keep count of all the memory palaces I build?
Depends a lot on the information you’re trying to learn. What are you trying to learn, can you elaborate? What would be the structure of your categories/subjects?
Hi kirobo , I just found a fantastic post that answered the problem I had put up. It is creating a master memory palace like a city which has all the subjects connected as districts having blocks in it . The link to the post is here
1.000.000-loci Memory Palace
I have a small master memory palace (a hotel room that I was staying in when I made it) that I use to index memory palaces of principles from non-fiction books (e.g., Atomic Habits, Make it Stick, Ultralearning). It has about 15 books in it. It’s worked well. I’d like to expand it now that it’s quite full.
I have an image at each loci that represents each palace.
