Best Book?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been immersing myself deeper in mnemonics, and am wondering what the best books out there are. I read Moonwalking With Einstein and am working through a copy of Dominic O’Brien’s How to Pass Exams, and am wondering what the highest quality books out there are. Is reading Ad Herennium still worth it, or are there modern books that are a better use of time?

My main goal with mnemonics is to help my performance in university, though I’m also generally interested in cognitive enhancement and would love to have some romantic poetry memorized

The passages on memory from Rhetorica ad Herennium can be found here.

Thank you! I didn’t realize the section on memory in Rhetorica ad Herennium was so short, given how often I’ve seen it cited. I imagined it to be much longer.

It looks like the main books for me are Memory Craft and Quantum Memory Power. How do these compare to each other? Is one a better introduction? Is there a difference in focus or philosophy?

Memory Craft has a lot of creative ideas in it that aren’t found in other memory books.

Quantum Memory Power is an audiobook that covers the basics. All of the books by Dominic O’Brien I’ve read were good. I thought How to Pass Exams was good.
