I hope you all doing well guys, as it is seen in my profile I’m new to the community I have been here for about a month, it was my first time seeing a memory community I’m so excited even now, but all techniques and posts that I’m seeing useful are form 2012-2015 and rarely from 2017, especially by ( r30, gavino and Bateman ) so I’m curious why there aren’t any new updates to the techniques? especially by these guys who seem to be so intellectual and advance?
The forum has been around for about 10 years and people come and go as their interests change. If you’re looking for new ideas about memory techniques, I’d recommend this book: Memory Craft by Lynne Kelly
Also check out the free books on memory techniques page. Some of those may have ideas that are mentioned less frequently here.
Hi Yxbob,
I would say that as new technology is created, new memory systems will be too.
As of now the supply is exhausted.
Use what you have.

TL;DR : The memory sports were still new to the masses/internet a few years ago, but it’s starting to mature and therefore, the improvements on the techniques are more subtle than getting a brand new technique.
Maybe the right way to look at Memory Techniques is like another sport :
The human body has its hidden tricks and limits;
As the “Sport” of memory competition was born, techniques were made and polished.
Then, each “athlete” has to learn it for himself and adapt it to his strengths & Weaknesses.
As the Sport gets in a more mature state,
new techniques don’t appear as often.
Instead, it’s little adjustments here and there in the details that optimises it.
Then, there are training regimens that evolve on their own too.
There’s also what’s surrounding the memorization training but supports it : The diet, sleep pattern, exercise recommended, meditation, etc.
