Using the GMS Memory Master program Question?

Hello,

Something has been strolling in my mind about the GMS memory master software. We all know it can work to up to 1000 loci. But my question is, what happens if you have 2-3 books memorized using loci? How and what do you do in order to have 1000 loci do you just create another 300-400 loci to train with as you can`t use the original loci list as you have information stored in them?

So to be short and simple how do you train with the Memory Master software with 1000 loci if you have 2-3 books memorized recently in your head?

Yes, just create another 300-400 loci.
Separate loci for storing information and loci for reusing in training.

How Do i create more loci ?? I understand the fact that after 1 year i can Store IT in my long term memory. But Until them how can i create loci and Store my loci in my head im having a really Hard time remembering 100 places in my town let alone 1000 loci and then another 300x20 for memoriZing 20 books with 300 loci.

To make it easier don’t try to remember all loci that you choose. Brain memorise places automatically. Just see the place, choose loci, than see the place in your imagination. Most of chosen loci should be there.
Also try different types of palaces: google maps places, video game places, book places, imaginary places, detailed memory palaces(50 loci in 6 square meters), landscape memory palaces(one building is one loci, one forest is one loci, one mountain is one loci), memory palaces from illustrations, etc.

I believe you can easily create new and new memory palaces almost infinitely.

The design of the locations is important. Properly refreshing them and running through them. Remember that it’s the QUALITY that counts, not the quantity, although that is useful too.

Creating loci is one thing; you still have to work them out. Also, the point is, what are they for? Sport or practice? For sport, you need a lot of locations, long routes. For practice, you need lots of structured ones that are memorable “within themselves” (the post was aimed at this type). There may be a hybrid solution where you can memorise quickly with random items (anything can be loki), but haven’t tested for speed.

I wrote a little forum post a few months ago about how to create 1000 loki from nothing. Using not even a location, but random items from the internet. Might be useful.

Just on the theory of the GMS course.
