34: Thanks. I can now see it as the 3 headbutting into the sitting man (4). Perhaps we could get that goat to KISS the ass at the same time since 3 = lips
54: Again, the 4 is like a sitting man, only the chair he’s sitting on isn’t there. The slope of the 4 is his back because he’s leaning forward. Perhaps sitting in a wheelchair. Perhaps we could pimp the wheelchair, add a turbo and launch the poor guy through the streets?
57: This one didn’t stick for me, even though I got it first time. 5 is kinda a hook theme, so I had that, and then using the 7 as a handle to hook/pump the water up in this water pump
Others: I’m still working on them.
These are the ones that worked first time for me FROM IMAGE TO NUMBER ONLY. My goal is to learn from this to strengthen my major system from anything I can learn from this system. The ones on the left didn’t give me a particularly strong shape. The ones on the right were very easy for me:
The monkey is an interesting one. I don’t know why it stuck. I think it’s maybe the tail being on the left side, and somehow the zero just follows on from that quite easily, even though I get no shape of a zero from any part of the monkey. Perhaps it’s association of a face?
The image for 33 is also key. The orientation of the wings seems to work well for me.
I’m now going to go in reverse, flipping the cards over to go from numbers to images.
By the way, it’s kind of obvious now, but I just realised that there’s a few reasons why physical flashcards can be better than digital. The first: tactile, obviously, and that’s something that can be improved by using different texture papers etc. But there’s also just the loci of moving them around the table, giving them locations.
This same principle could be applied to writing vs typing. In writing, letters have more loci of movement. As you move a pen, you’re going through more loci, even on the fine scale.
This lines up with what I’ve been reading about consciousness where space is basically the basis for cognition in some way. That is, if you can’t appreciate space, there’s no basis for the mind itself. Loci is literally the first basis for memory.
