This is what i understand to be the main technique in order to memorize books. If i have 650 places 650 files can i memorize 6 books 650 pages long? And be able to recall from them or i`m going to need more files?
Thank you
Heck yeah you can. Take a main point from each page and you’ll be solid gold.
But how many loci will i need?
If you take 1 image per page you need … as many loci as you have pages. so 650.
If you take ~ 3 images per page, you need 1950 loci.
You could also always use linking to save loci, so in 1 loci put an image and link 3 others to it, you would need a quarter of the number of pages in loci.
So i use for 1 page a loci and for the next 3 the link system that way i can shorten the number of loci i need.
Did i get this right?
Yes.
Can i memorize multiple books with the same loci or do i need another one for example if i need 6 books of 650 pages long do i need 650 loci or 6x650?
Multiple.
Multiple as 6X650 english isn`t my first language thats why am asking to be sure.
If you had 6 books of 650 pages, and you used 1 locus for every page, you would need 6x650 loci for memorizing the whole thing. If you instead linked 6 things to each locus, you would only need 650 loci instead of 6x650. You need as many loci as you have images, unless you link more than one thing to each locus.
