I know this is a big ask. Memory systems are deeply personal and often don’t make sense to others without your specific life experience. That said, I am in the process of constructing my own 000-999 major based system. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their system so I could find inspiration for my own as progress is slow going.
Thanks all,
Zellion
PS: If anyone has posted their 000-999 system somewhere on the form already, could you link it for me?
This is my updated 000-999 plus 2-card system. I think its the most optimized way to use Major unambiguously and consistently for numbers and cards (at least for how my brain likes to read them!)
The older thread that @vector shared was based on the Shadow System and had some inefficient structures and exceptions for certain card pair formats. I think its obsolete now compared to this newer set up:
Not much is actually mentioned (maybe) but these are the 2 Systems I have:
For Object system, I have like ~10 DIfferent Categories. 000-099 Sweets and Stuff 100-199 In the Kitchen stuff (Most of the stuff in there) 200-299 Fruits and Vegetables 300-399 Hobbies Stuff 400, 500-599 (In door stuff ) 600-699 (Gym/ Training stuff) 700-799 (Musical Instrument 800-899 Garden 900-999 Electronics
So, majority of them are within that theme, but some random ones too in there. 111 Wooden Staff 123 is Staircase, 124 Christmas Tree, 333 (probably my favorite one) a Rubriks Cube! 777 Horse Shoe, 456 (fence, Reason is, the numbers goes up like a set number pattern). These might be a good suggestion for you to use!
My current guess is that on Persons (Or Characters) I use about ~80-85% Anime Characters and roughly the rest Video Games Characters. If you like pokemon and have spent time with it, you have about 1000 to choose from there!
I know this is a long time later to be asking this question, but do you have any form of ordering system for the placement of choices within your categories? Like are they alphabetized or is it just whatever kinda fits within the category for that number?
