My organization method for all my mind palaces

A while back I ran into a problem because I had 163 mindpalaces i could not keep track of anymore.

That’s when I created the book method

(1)First step is finding a real book in real life that you like the design of, that also has no text in front of it.

(2) recreate the book in your mind.( I like to sit in the sanctuary I made in my mind while I read)

(3) put all your mind palaces in there.( if you want to number them that’s fine)

(4) starting from the first page to the last page is the order of your Loci of Mind palaces. On each page put a image that Associates with what that mindpalaces information is.

(5) memorize every page from beginning to end or you can add more as you go

Sometimes I just sit in my sanctuary and review all of my mind palaces I going through my book. Think of it like a mindpalace for your mind palaces.

Thank you for sharing this method!

I have also been pondering how I best keep track of my mindpalaces.

How do you mean that you “put all your mind Palaces in there” - you imaginary attach them to different pages?

Also, I have been experimenting with mindpalaces and Anki and it seems to be rather effective. So I have a deck in Anki with names of my mindpalaces, whenever a card appears with a mindpalace (more often a specific room in a mindpalace, if it is large) I mentally walk through that room and Review the images, then I check next card in the deck. Any thoughts on that method?

What I do is for each page I imagine a image on that page that matches the subject of that mindpalace. Then I just use the peg system to memorize all of the Mind palaces in order.

A good example would be, let’s say you wanted to memorize all the presidents.
On that first page in that book that you imagine you picture the president you are most familiar with.
Now every time you open up that book in your mind Palace you will see that first image of that President and you know that image is a portal to that mindpalace

Is your method an alternative to revising text verbally ?

As by using your mehod and our imagination we can revise what we have learn which is very important to prevent us from forgetting what we had memorised.

And another question of mine is

Is your method as effective as verbally revising text that someone has memorised ? ,

Cheers.

My apologies I am a little dyslexic. So forgive me if I answer this question wrong.

The point of my method is that anybody can open a book and follow the numbers from 1 to whatever number your last mind palace is.

A lot of my methods count on imaginary pictures that remind me of the subject.

For instance my first mind Palace is acronyms that help me with my mental issues. What I picture on the first page is a crying woman looking up at the Superman symbol which stands for hope.

Every time I look at that picture I know it’s about overcoming mental illness through skills. But it’s also important that I take that number of the page and use the( number to image system) and include that in the picture.

The next page is a mind Palace I created to memorize passwords. On that page I imagine a picture of 2 computers that look like humans passing words to eachother.

Every time you add a new page or (Memory Palace) you have to add that page to your index.

It’s very important that every day you go over your index of memory palaces.
Just pick a calm place in your mind and sit down in your mind and just read through the list of pages and memorize them in that order.

Well can you tell me whether oral review is needed to revise information after using your method with memory palaces and applying the Rule of 5 of reviewing information which is reviewing in the order which is given below-

  1. Immediately
  2. After 48 hours
  3. After 7 days
  4. After 1 month
  5. After 3 months

To make memorized information stick and I think that this information was created by the 8 Time World Memory Champion Domic O’ Brien.

I am familiar with that but this is what I would do
(1) Immediately
(2) Every day before bed
(3) Make it impactful with emotion

The way i make things stick forever is i always use associations that impact me in a very deep way.
Also to note, Doing it every day should not feel like a chore. You need to enjoy yourself there. That is why i do it in my mental relaxation space. When the day has been stressful i just unwind in my temple and read my book index.
