About 2 years ago i said i would make a Major System 0-99. I didnt do it.
I think i avoided it due to a need for ‘success’ or ‘perfectionism’ and when i would get a number in my list that i couldnt come up with a character for, it frustrated me and i quit.
It felt like a large, overwhelming project.
It still isnt complete.
But i did have some progress, perhaps working a bit back to front i have created Major system characters for my wifes phone number and placed them in a memory palace.
Now i can happily say i can remember her number by seeing the characters along the short journey.
Im sharing this because i honestly want some praise and cheers to keep going. It feels like a lonely game to be playing in some way as theres no one in my daily life who seems to be interested in this stuff to share the growth and challenge with.
Hello, Crain… cool your training… you can also use from 000 to 999… in a short time you can memorize it all… in the cards there is the Ben Method, you can find how it works on the Internet… a deck of cards has 52 cards, with the method by Ben, putting an image for two words, you only need 26 objects to memorize a deck of cards…
Great job! I can also be a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff, so I know the feeling. It can be hard to just get on with it and try things without having it all figured out ahead of time, but hopefully this showed you that you can do it!
As far as cards goes… I would NOT recommend the Ben System as your next step. It is a very advanced system that requires learning an image for every possible two card combo in a deck of cards. Over 2700 images. Given what you said about the time it took to get comfortable with a partial 2-digit list, I think a more moderate next step would be wise.
If you’re really interested in trying cards and you’re already familiar with the Major System, you can use that technique to create a set of images for cards. You can even use what you have of your existing 00-99 list.

I know what you mean about the major number system. I kept drawing blanks, or worrying that my number substitute was boring and what if i regretted my choice.
