Welcome to the site!

If you post a little more about what your goals are and what you’ve already tried, people here could probably offer some advice.

There’s also a getting started guide that might be useful.

I tried memorizing random words because I want to memorize about 100 random words under a minute can you help me?

Hello @Hero1! As Josh said, we would need to know more about what you have tried and where you stand. Some questions that would make it easier for us to help you:

  • How many words were you able to memorise in 1 minute when you started?
  • How many words are you able to memorise in 1 minute now?
  • How are you memorising the words? Are you putting them one by one on loci (or multiple words per loci), or what is your process?
  • How are you practicing, and how often?

Finally, I can already tell you now that your goal of 100 random words in under a minute is unrealistic. The fastest I have seen on the Memory League website (where many of the best memorisers in the world are competing) is 50 words in 45 seconds. 100 in under a minute would mean that you are the best in the world at memorising words, by a quite large margin.

Welcome, Hero1!

To tell you how to improve I need first to ask you what are your techniques? How do you intend to memorize words? What are your techniques? Do you use the link system? Do you use the method of loci? I use a combination of these two in order to memorize random words.

You can practice a lot, but if you’re methods aren’t efficient the progress may never come.
Here’s my challange for you, use the link system for each five words and place them in a locus (spot in a memory palace). Meaning, that you’d memorize 5 at a time, only using 20 loci. I still don’t do this, that’s why it’s a challenge after all you want to do 100 in a minute. 20 loci, 5 five words each, the rest is trainning. Good luck or happy trainning! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
