Was hoping to get some input of my strategy for learning a new language. I have been using SRS (anki) and it has been very effective. My goal is to improve the learning rate of which I can add new cards. Currently I just wait to see what new cards anki gives me next and do 3 new ones a day.
Here is my process’
I have a list of 200 verbs / nouns / adjectives to learn.
A memory palace with 20 loci
Step 1) Take 20 verbs and put in a palace with 20 loci
Step 2) Add those 20 verbs to Anki
Step 3) Once those are in review (the state of which they are learned but being reviewed so not forgotten) → then clear the palace & review the next 20.
Step 4) - Add the new verbs to anki and repeat the cycle
My my main questions,
- is it a good idea to reuse the palace with new information?
- I am just trying to make it easier to learn them the first time, will I need to use the palace when I am using in conversation or trying to review in a year from now?
