I just got back from seeing Avatar 2. In the movie the Na’vi are shown using a beaded cord to remember songs about events in their lives. I thought it was really neat to see an accurate representation on how nonliterate cultures use mnemonics in their daily lives. I can’t think of another pop culture example that does it that well.
