thanks for your answer and the nice words. I want create 100 categorys with 100 images per category. So, i need more good categories.
The song “Dangerous China” is cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HmsljFDRFI

Best wishes!

Hi Teddy,

My suggestion would be for you to use the MaJoR system to come up with categories.
For instance, 53, ELM, could become your tree category. 5, Ale, could become a type of booze category,
71, Cat, could become all kind of predatorial animals etc. 54, Lure, could become all kinds of known traps, etc.

Simon

Yes, i want to create related categories.
-100 movies
-100 heroes
-100 famous people … and so on.

Are there more some good ideas for categories out there?

Best wishes!

Hi simon,

i think to remember the categories isnt the hard part. I use the major system into the categories to remember the images into the categorie. For example in categorie worker: 05. Soldier.

Best wishes!

Good idea! But the problem is, i need really big lists of this sort of people to create 100 images that coded with the major code. Thats the point my friend. There arent so many people out there that can coded with the major code to make the 100 list memorable.

No, i will use the major code that the images popped up in my head very far.
More ideas for categories and other modifications are welcome.

Best wishes!

You can stretch the system.

For me, 975 is “PEL”, so I used the Doric Greek pronunciation of Apollo (Apellon, which I found through Wikipedia), and used the inner syllable: aPELLon.

Other examples of stretching the phonetic system to find images:
SOS = Mercedes SOSa
SON = SONes Huastecos (a type of music, so this is a band)
SOM = SOMa (ended up being a toadstool – Amanita muscaria)

You can also type things into Google.com and the Wikipedia search box for suggestions. If your syllable is “bo” then type “bo” into Google. It will give suggestions. None of them work. So add an “a” to make “boa”. Still no suggestions. Then add a “b” and “bob” brings up suggestions.

To narrow it down, type the category first. So if your category is Pokémon, go to Google and type: “pokemon bo” and then add letters:
“pokemon boa”
“pokemon bob” => Google suggests: Pokemon Bobblehead

(I don’t know anything about Pokémon, so I don’t know if that specific one helps. )

The Wikipedia search box also suggests things. Wikipedia also has lists on many subjects like this:

See also the example lists on the PAO page

I think I sent this already, but wanted to add it here, since future readers will also be able to use this thread to make categories. This list is partially extracted from my category images. It’s heavily mythology-based, and there might be some repeats.
