I have completed my “Intuitive Cast of 100 Characters” which I am using as a PAO System, similar to a Dominic System, although my characters are not found using any encrypted alpha-numeric system like the Dominic System’s PAO or the Major System’s PAO would do. I have used the Number-Shape-System where practically feasible or else I have related the numbers to what they make me think about e.g. 12 = Big-Ben so a PAO of Spiderman spinning a web around Big-Ben works for me. I have also relied on historical dates 59 = Fidel Castro as he came into power in Cuba in 1959. Other numbers may be a little cryptic, e.g. Nelson Mandela = 27 as he was a political prisoner for 27 years. Michael Phelps is 28 as he is the world-record recipient of the most Olympic medals tallying 28. The 80’s (i.e. 80 - 89) I chose to use the image of “Lady” as a theme for the 8’s and devised images to pair with my Ladies. So I have 80 = Lady of Leisure. To elaborate, 8 and 0 = 80 = Lady + 0 where 0 is a round floating devise. Lady-Cherrie is a 86 = Lady + Cherry. Lady-Swashbuckler = 85, a pirate lady with a hooked hand = 5. The 90’s (91 - 99) I opted for number rhyme is 91 = Baker as 1 = bun. 92 = Cobbler as 2 = shoe etc. For 90 I used Pythagoras as 90 degree triangle looks like Pythagoras’s big nose. 03 = Genie (I’ll grant you 3 wishes). 06 = Personal Trainer (6-pack abs). I struggled for a long time to find a suitable image for number 56 and opted eventually to use Elvis Presley as he had a number 1 hit in 1956 with “Blue Suede Shoes” which works well as an object in the PAO system i.e. Elvis Presley (Person), Stepping-on (Action), Blue Suede Shoes (Object). Examples of a few of my images given below:

I think that this system works in similar ways to the Sharper System by Erol and Dominic System by O’Brain.
It’s just using a connotative strategy, which is advised by many mnemonist and memory experts alike. I personally go against connotations for pegs or codes and only for text memorization (learning or memorizing understanding). I prefer arbitrary pegs to trigger my memory biases like: self serving bias, generation effect, verbatim effect, peek end rule effect, availability bias, primacy effect, modality effect, humor effect.
Thank you for your reply. “The Intuitive number system” does indeed use “shapes”, similar to Errol’s shaper system, albeit only for animate objects (preferably people, although I have used "Herbie Love Bug for #53 as he is a “Lifelike Being”). But you can imagine finding “100 People Shapes” does prove quite a daunting task. Perhaps the better label for such a system might indeed be “the Unencoded PAO System”? I am also familiar with peg words that Andi Bell uses for 00 -99 and had originally borrowed his #51 (area 51), where initially I had a “Drone Pilot” as my chosen person. For some reason, probably due to not being able to remember what person I had at #51, I chose to substitute #51 with a nurse pushing a wheelchair (which is one of Errol’s shaper images). I originally didn’t like the nurse pushing the wheelchair image, as I like all my images to move from left to right and the nurse + wheelchair better describes a #15 to me rather than a #51. That being said, as I have a rugby player as my person for #15 (15 players on a rugby team), I am finding having the anomaly of having an image moving right to left (i.e. nurse pushing wheelchair) is working out rather well as the exception to all my images moving left to right for me! The differentiating factor between say “the intuitive number system” and a Dominic System is that the person arrived at by using the ‘intuitive system’, does not rely on any code of any sort. I believe, (but may be wrong?) that this shortens the manner in which the mind gets to the “image” from a number. To elaborate, the Dominic System say for #20 translating into “Barack Obama” would be a series of steps: 20 = BA = Barack Obama = Image of Barack Obama, equating to four discrete independent steps. In my cast of 100 characters, #53 translates straight into the image of “Herbie the Love Bug” as a Person from where the action: Leaking and the object: Oil naturally flow for me. For #20, I have used a Loerie Bird (Animate = Person) who is “Loering” (an Afrikaans word for peering/gawking) through binoculars (20/20 vision).
An aside: The Loerie bird is also known as the “Go-Away” bird as that is the call it mimics. The grey “go-away-bird” (Corythaixoides concolor) is also known as grey lourie, or kwêvoël and is a bold and common bird of the southern Afrotropics.
