What are some good learning materials on the abacus method?: Where you visualize the abacus mentally and perform mental calculations using it, while moving fingers according to the displacements you would perform on the abacus?
I have found many usefull apps on androidmarket:
The best application with all the japanese abacuse explanation is:
Know Abacus
and there are others
Simple soroban, Flash Mental Anzan and many others.
I saw that they are also exposed in App store in Apple.
If you want some information from the internet you should seek with the word:
“Soroban”. There are also many usefull pages.
Kind regards,
Peter M.
For to know how works this technique, I’m going to do 10 hours classes of soroban and flash anzan with the world’s foremost mental math expert: Jeonghee Lee (record in memoriad of flash anzan, división, 10x10 additions, multiplication).
JEONGHEE LEE IS THE ONLY KNOW SOROBAN ABACUS MASTER TO HAVE REACHED THE ELEVENTH DAN!!!.
I need two persons more for to do the classes with 60 % of disccount.
Read announcement of this here (I put videos of her also):
Hello Adrian,
Did this ever happen. I’ve been wanting to find a good source for developing soroban and then flash anzan skills for a while but it seems like most classes are physical and aimed at childrn.
thanks,
Robert
