I want to do 10 clases online with the world’s foremost mental math expert: JEONGHEE LEE. I need two more persons for to have a 60 % discount in the clases:

JEONGHEE LEE IS MY IDOL. She is 54. She broke the record of memoriad additions 10 task for adding ten 10-digit numbers in 100 seconds. Also she have the world record in memoriad tasks of:

Multiplication,
Division.
Flash anzan marathon.

JEONGHEE LEE IS THE ONLY KNOW SOROBAN ABACUS MASTER TO HAVE REACHED THE ELEVENTH DAN. IF ANYONE CAN EXPLAIN WHAT MEANS ELEVENTH DAN, TELL ME PLEASE!!!.

Jeonghee can even do 10 tasks for adding ten 10-digit numbers FASTER THAN THE RECORD like you can see in the last video I put below. Also you can see Jeonghee doing flash anzan adding 51 four digit numbers while she having a conversation!!!:

In the last video Jeonghee Lee is adding large numbers with the total digits of 1250 in 92 seconds which means… SEE CREARLY WHAT THIS MEANS:

   73,6 SECONDS at that speed in memoriad 10 tasks addition (1.000 dígits) = 7,36 s every 10x10 ADDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND MEANS THAT SHE ONLY HAVE 0,0588 SECONDS TO SEE EVERY DIGIT!!!
THAT IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE HUMAN EYE AND BRAIN.

Is there any books in English about Abacus preferably hers?

yes, but not hers.
The classes can teach you and explain alot of more things, she is a master. And I can’t find book about details and tips about flash anzan technique.

Hi Adrian. I am very interested in this course. Have you enrolled? What is the introductory book? I have some basic soroban experience, but have not done flash anzan. Is there a link to the course? Google only provided youtube vids of Jeonghee Lee in action, so any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think Kinma’s question of expectations is important.

If my reading is correct the consistent drilling of Soroban over a period of about 3 years is the normal precursor to Anzan for children. 10 web based classes in the Soroban are not going to provide the equivalent of 3 years of interactive coaching in technique, number of sleeps to integrate the knowledge, a youthful obscenely plastic mind or motivation.

At worst I would expect this to be a fairly expensive motivation seminar teaching basic Soroban techniques that is advertising for ongoing expensive lessons that to be successful would take a period of 3-5 years. At best I could hope that it would provide a structured learning method that could be self applied over a period of 3-5 years to reach a point where one could be relatively proficient at using the imagery of a soroban mentally (anzan) in a way that makes the process of mental addition faster with less cognitive load.

Given my history with the internet I am not optimistic but similarly I would pay to go to see Arthur Benjamin’s mathemagician show knowing that in practice I would get nothing discrete out of it other than entertainment and the appreciation for the skill.

I agree with Robert.

A lot of techniques can be learned from - for example - this:

First learn the techniques. Then all that is left is to get proficient with this.
And this takes a lot of practice and learn from mistakes.

Only when you find that your fingers start (involuntarily) moving when you see a calculation, is it time to start with flash Anzan. This part is then easy. Just visualize a soroban and let your fingers start moving. Then just observe. See your fingers moving and watch what it does to the beads.

In that phase, start with relatively easy calculations. Say a 2x2 addition.
See the start position of the soroban, let your fingers move and see the result of the beads.
