3 Digit System for Non-English Native Speaker

Hi everyone! I am from Malaysia. My mother tongue is mandarin. In fact, due to the unique culture in Malaysia, we can speak a lot of languages such as English and Malay but not quite fluent at least we have no problem to communicate with it. I decide to create 3 digit system and already tried to work on it for a few week. Mandarin Chinese is almost impossible to create a system based on phonetic sound because of the unique structure of the language. So I wonder anyone with the same situation here that succeeded to create a 3 digit system? Do you used major system? My English is not that proficient since I tried to use major system but I can’t create and think of the words. Any other method I can use to create a 3 digit system?

what do you mean 3 digit system and what’s the main language based on major system?

Besides, you should think about your output. AKA your goal of the system. You open browser because you want to surf the Internet.

Chinese is the opposite of English. Yet, the grammar in modern Chinese is quite similar apart from adverb clauses. In Chinese, people like to use adjectives, adverbs. e.g. ‘The harvest is great in agriculture’ in Chinese is correct but it’s incorrect in English because ‘Harvest’ implies ‘agriculture’.

Use English to learn English or build your system. I suggest you can build memory palace around IPA system.

Hi @Klj,

the phonetic system is first a system to create letters out of single digit number.
So a mapping between the number 0-9 and some basic parts for the used language.

It should be no big problem for you to create a similar system for any other language you want to use.
Take letter and/or sign parts that can be used to form most of the words in your wished language and map them to the numbers 0 till 9.

So that forms YOUR phonetic system.
From this starting point it should easy to create YOUR Mastercode system and other stuff.

This are my thoughts on that.

Maybe I’m biased. ( Let’s say I’m biased.) I sensed that it makes the system more complicated than it should be. I’m always not a big fan of the translated version. When you translated something from other languages, it always turns out something is missing. Yet, it may be good for some but not for me. Thank you for sharing anyway!

My understanding is Chinese is based on the forms rather than the phonetic. I can see where you’re coming from, but I’m afraid of the practicality. However, it all depends on what you want the output to be! 黑猫白猫,抓到老鼠就是好猫! @Klj
