Working Memory and N-Back

“Has anyone in the art of memory forum experimented with N-back?”

The premise of the research is that it is possible to increase working memory which indirectly will correlate with N and programs has also been developed to emulate this experiment.
The issue here is that while trying out the programs their can exist a problem of placebo or plain deviation from the program due to its unconfortable nature.

"In conjunction with the first question and maybe scenario difference, can you describe why you haven’t tried the program? Your doubts on its efficacy and maybe some cogent reasons to those doubts? And also how it has helped your memory (if the results are positive).

I’m training in dual N-back now, and have been for a month and a half or so. I think that what it’s doing for me, mostly, is training concentration and focus, which you have to have for memory work or for anything else really. It’s basically meditation where you can see how well you’re meditating and get feedback on the quality of the meditation. I think it’s a good thing to keep in one’s mental fitness regimen.
