Hello.
I want to start creating my PAO list. My first step is to find 100 people I can imagine very good.
Because I think it will be hard to find a person for every number I wonder which is the best methode to link the number to the people?
I know the following standard methodes:
Major System and Dominic System.
I didn’t really start to create my list. But I think I could struggle with only these, because I don’t know very much people that well.
I mean I could print images and learn their faces. But it would be much easier to find people I already know very well. But which are also linked to their numbers in a logical way.
My first question (1):
I read somewhere that it is better to use the Major System instead of the Dominic System. Is this true? If yes: Why is this true?
My second question (2):
I read about a method for cards that you can link the different cards by category. E.g. heart cards chosen for the family.
Do you think it would work if I came up with 10 categories (family, friends, athletes, comic heroes, game heroes, …) and 10 people each?
If I then learn in which row the category is (e.g. athletes 10-19) I would only have to find people starting with a matching letter (10 = athlete starting with S/Z, 11 = athlete starting with D/T, … .).
Would this slow down my system? Because there is no logical way to link athletes to 10-19? Or is that irrelevant, since you would train yourself quickly and these links eventually become “logical” (for my brain)?
Some categories could match the first Major System sound (Comic heros = 70-79).
But this won’t work for every catergorie. And could also be confusing:
- Familie and Friends are both 80-89.
- Game heros would also be 70-79. (But I think I could also put these “logical” in the 60-69 “wrong” slot.)
- …
What is your opinion on this method?
My third question (3):
Any other good methodes to find people for my list? In some logical way that doesn’t slow down my brain?
Thank you!
