I saw a post where one of the posters mentioned that he used his fence as a micro-memory palace. What is a micro-memory palace.

Who Uses A Bestiary?

Recently I bought Memory Craft by Lynne Kelly after hearing her on the Magnetic Memory Method podcast. It is full of great ideas that I’ve been trying out. It sounds like it means a small memory palace. You can use small objects as memory palaces/journeys like Boris mentioned here:

I also have locations indoors where every single spot might be pretty small (like a bar of soap).

I do see, that I can fit in more information in a bigger location, BUT the limit of the size of the smaller ones does not seem to be to bas for me. I still can fit the names of all German presidents on the soap bar.

Different people have slightly different definitions for things sometimes, but mine is mich like josh mentioned, small memory palace.

I usually use them as an extension of a normal memory palace. Though sometimes they can exist on their own.

Say you have your home as a memory palace. In the backyard, one of the loci is your bicycle. When using micro-palaces, I would turn this bicycle into a memory palace of itself. The handles, chain, saddle, all good loci.

Then I move on in the big memory palace and visit maybe a bookshelf. ‘Moonwalking with einstein’, ‘a small history of almost everything’, ‘the secret teachings of all ages’, all titles that make for great loci.

We could even go smaller. A plant of mine has leaves, flowers, a damaged leaf, stems, roots, soil, etc. All loci as well.
