Can you give me examples of using the wardrobe, I read it but so far I don’t understand how to use this method to memorize words in other languages for example.
I use my number system + what I want to memorize, so the number 1 will interact with what I want to memorize, but how can someone memorize texts with that? the information is not too much to remember with only 1 pin
@Kaguya, thanks for posting that unique article about the wardrobe method. That’s not a common term and what is more commonly used as a term is the peg system or peg list.
The peg list is an ordered list of words. You must follow a rule to know the order of the list. The most common lists are body locations, bestiaries (animals ordered by first letter), and routes around the vicinity of your house. The rule that you apply tells you whether to go up or down, use the alphabet or positive integers, or go clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Once you memorize the peg list, which can be any length, you can then associate the things that you want to memorize with them and the peg then acts as a cue to help you remember it. The magic is in the association and how you make it memorable. Some people make an association to the peg with more than one thing at a time.
