The key day for 2022 is monday.
For any year the key day is the same as.
Day 4 of month 4 aka April
Day 6 of month 6 aka June
Day 8 of month 8 aka August
Day 10 of month 10 aka October
Day 12 of month 12 aka Decenber

The memory cue inludes adding or sutbtrating 7.
To think of 30 as 3 is too forced as a long term mneumonic; sound of m/May as 3 turned counter clockwise.

The pattern of the key day of the week begins on the last day of February. Think about this fact.
The last day of February is a key day. Think of March 0, 7, 14, 21, 28 as key days. Look at a calendar.
In 2022 February has 28 days and 7, 14, 21, 28 are key days. But look at a leap year. The key days are 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. In 2024 Thursday is the key day. Look at a calendar. Some years February is like August.
PART TWO
For any year to know the key day of the week, you will know what dates that day falls on throughout the year.
December is month 12 and the key days are 5 ( 12-7 ), 12, 19, and 26 the day after Christmas. I remember the day after Christmas and the day after New Years day as being 7 days apart.
25 + 7 is 32. The day after December 31 is January 1.
The key days in January 2023 use 2022. This is not standard, but works for me. January 2023 the key days are 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. The standard model would not wait untill February to update the key day to Tuesday. Tuesday is the last day of Febuary 2023.
