Tracking, indexing, or remembering all of your empty/unused memory palaces?

Does anyone have an approach for tracking your empty or unused memory palaces?

I feel like I don’t use the technique on the fly very well because I don’t have alphabetical palaces ready to go in my mind. I have an alphabetical list in my journal. I have to look them up though or brainstorm a new one. I would rather just have the places in my mind already.

I haven’t tried an index or master memory palace. Like keeping all my unused, prepared, empty, alphabetical memory palaces ready to go in one place. Maybe an image or something from the 1st loci from the empty palace and place that in a master memory palace?

Has anyone practiced an approach like this?
How useful are master memory palaces?
What could I attribute to an empty palace to make it memorable?

Memory palace for the memory palaces. I guess tracking my used palaces too would be nice but I think thats easier because target information leads me there.
