What would be list of the Top 20 useful things to remember when just starting out? I have just completed the all presidents, date in office and all the important birthdays in my family, which is very large. What are some of the others that would be fun to try? Any help would be appreciate.
Some ideas: periodic table of elements, kings and queens of England, geologic periods, history timelines, and poetry.

Just brainstorming
The US Constitution or equivalent for your country.
The squares up to 100
The multiplication table out to 100
All countries in Europe & Asia with capitals, some knowledge of their geography, economy and history.
The periodic table.
The Standard Model (sub atomic particles)
The Classical Constellation in the Sky, their individual star , their distances and and nature.
50 States of Mexico with similar information (my current project)
The Taxonomy of the Animal Kingdom or any sub tree
Fivie Sololiquies from Shakespeare
Capitals, countries and their locations, flags stuff like that. Anything geography related

Sorry for replying to many of your comments. Recently I listened to a fantastic audiobook: Worlds Within Worlds: The Story of Nuclear Energy, by Isaac Asimov. I wish I had read that when I was in middle school. Profoundly enjoyable.
Oh that’s so English! LOL.
I enjoy your company. Asimov is underrated IMO. Not a great literary talent but he was an original thinker and one of the few people who could explain abstract scientific ideas without butchering them. I don’t recall where in his writings, but a couple of times he touched on subject I knew well and his insights were often refreshing and helpful. He was a ■■■■■■■■■■■ guy even though he wrote fantasy.
I’ve hung around physicists most of my working life. I have a son who is a particle physicist. He recently published a popular book on the big open questions in physics (available at fine book stores every where). I’m fascinated with that world but I’m a dilettante.
