I see what you mean, so I will try to clarify it further. The idea is to use one object only, in my case I use the Spear itself as “01” , no other shape-image has a shield, so it would be up to the individual to use whichever, either the spear, shield, or both.
When I use it to memorise number digits, the Spear is always inside the next object. No need to use the shield. The idea is to use the digits to remind you of the image.
10 is Stick & Drum | A man with a big belly | A man playing drum on his belly.
So here it’s the same. You can either choose the Stick, Drum, or both.
I personally use the Stick only and hit the next object regardless of what the next object may be.
You can also use it with PA, or PAO
