What was the memorizing technique that struck you as the most efficient when you first tried it? How did you see it? And why does it work so well?
Probably the memory palace, which is why it’s the (seemingly) original technique and the most commonly used. You can learn and even practice it in the next paragraph!
Can you picture in your head the layout and where things are in your home such as the front door, sofa, tv, fridge, and your bed? There you go, you’ve made a memory palace with five locations. Imagine yourself walking that path a few times and noting the five locations and it will stick. (Ideally it’s a logical, non-overlapping path; adjust the locations as necessary). Humans’ brains are good at this spatial memory so it works surprisingly well. You’ll be able to remember many memory palaces with much more locations than five once you practice.
The next step is to put things in each location in your imagination. You just need to consciously (and as vividly as you can) picture/imagine the thing there as you’re walking through the locations on the path and it should be easy to remember the next time you walk through.
After that it’s about getting better at making the imagery more memorable, learning ways to encode (translate) different types of information into imagery to place in the locations, learning to compress information to store more, and expanding the number of locations in each memory palace.
So while it sounds like a lot, the basics are very easy to do if you put in a small amount of effort and focus, and make a strong foundation to build on
The chain technique with ramon campayo.
Ramon Campayo does not use the memory palace, but chains of images in sequence and it was the first thing I learned, it is the easiest technique to use.
Hey. Sorry for bothering, do you mind elaborating on this technique? Thank you a lot!

If you have a list of elements such as, for example, dog, apple and spoon… you will connect them in sequence by means of the chain using the cause/effect principle, for example: The dog bites an apple that had a small metal spoon inside that when biting it makes his hair stand on end.
This technique is simple, but has the problem that if you forget one of the images of the sequence you will forget part of it, mixed with the method of poetry (narrative) can be a very good method.
thank you
