Suggestions on how to train speed and endurance for school memorization?

I need ideas on how to improve my speed and endurance for school work memorization. I know it gets better with practice as is stated here. But I was wondering if anyone has a suggested training and practise method tailored for school memorization.

I think one of the things that were slowing me down was trying to extract main points to memorize while reading and I have decided to separate the two processes. Any ideas on further improvements?

I practise speed (usually 1 minute) disciplines (though the most useful for school are probably dates and words), I am considering practising longer disciplines for endurance building.

My question is “HOW do you practise speed and endurance for information as detailed and inter-connected as school work?”

Do you know about the ‘date location’ method? I think the older (longer) discipline is probably a great way to practise endurance. The speed method is fun too, but the longer endurance method is great to get into a nice rhythm. Its only relatively recently that people have started to do ‘memory sport’, compared for how long memory techniques have been around.

I’m not sure I know what you mean by the ‘date location’ method. Do you mean using a location to encode part of a date (the century or the first digit)?
