Spanish Memory Championship 2027 — Barcelona
I’m very happy to finally be able to share this:
The Spanish Memory Championship is coming back in 2027!
The championship has not been organized since 2016, but after a lot of work behind the scenes, we are now putting together a new edition.
The plan is to hold it in Barcelona, Spain, sometime in 2027. The exact date, venue and final competition format are still being worked out.
I’ve been competing in memory sports for the last couple of years, and one of the things I’ve wanted to do is help get competitive memory in Spain moving again. So it’s particularly exciting to see this becoming a reality.
Why am I posting this now?
Before we finalize the venue and logistics, we need to get a rough idea of how many people might actually attend.
So, if you think you would genuinely consider coming to Barcelona for the championship, please comment below with one of the following:
Spanish competitor — I would like to compete for Spain
International competitor — I would travel to Spain to compete
Spectator/supporter — I’d like to attend but not compete
Maybe — interested, but I need more information first
This is not registration or a commitment. We’re simply trying to estimate potential attendance so we can reserve an appropriate venue and number of places.
If you’re an international competitor, it would be particularly useful to know that, since Barcelona is obviously a fairly accessible destination from many parts of Europe and elsewhere.
More details about the date, venue, disciplines, registration and rules will be announced once everything is finalized.
After almost eleven years, it would be great to see the Spanish Memory Championship back on the calendar.
