Something I realized fairly recently was the importance of independently associating the PAO elements in a PAO list to their numbers. I think when people are first starting out with a PAO structure (myself included), it’s common to make the mistake of creating a full image that they associate to the number, like “TeDDy TooTing on a ToaD” to remember their “number 11” PAO items. Downside is that there is more to remember.

Tbh, a 2-digit PAO is not big, so the time you’ll save won’t really make a difference, but Tim’s points are solid, so I agree with his assessment that it’s better to have actions and objects that are independently associated to the number.

Also, if you have any trouble filling your list following the Major System, there are a bunch of resources you can use, which I may share if you’re interested.
