Paintings as Memory Palaces

Greetings to all:
I have been a member for a short time, maybe a month or so. I set up a project for myself that is titled " The 50 Greatest Impressionist Paintings"I am pretty much through it but have to go back
periodically because I keep forgetting.
I divided a painting into 5 loci. Then I would concentrate on the painting. This seemed to work.If I had the title of the painting in front of me a general image of the painting would appear. If I just tried to use the numbers 1-50 in order to identify the painting it would get difficult.
I think I need to concentrate on my visualization process. Are there any books out there that can take you into a space whereby you can have striong images? That woulod really help.
I am alsomworking on learning numbers. The hard part is getting from 100-1000 so I can work on really long strings. 15 digits is my max at the present.
THAI EXPAT

What kind of information are you memorizing? Do you mean you’re making 5-loci memory palaces out of 50 paintings? Or are you trying to memorize five facts about each painting, by using it as a memory palace?

I’ve been memorizing names of paintings/artists for a little while. I think you can’t just concentrate on the painting; you need to look for certain details that stand out. A lot of impressionism stuff is probably more about technique and context than earlier paintings, so reading up on the painting to get context would certainly help, for me anyways, to be able to recall the actual image of the painting and at least 5 details

alsomworking im sorry but.
