So I’m a bartender and I need to know 100 cocktails and everything that goes in them. I’ve come up with a way to do measurements and have images for the majority of my ingredients. The issue is I’ve now learnt about 20 and they are overlapping and I’m getting confused. Heres my method I’m using.
I have a journey that starts at my front door and goes through 1 room. The most ingredients in the cocktails are 8 so I have a journey long enough for 10 ingredients. I then list the ingredients in that journey.
The unique ones I remember instantly however its the similar ones that I struggle with.
For example in one drink a certain door in my house is made of apples to signify 1oz of apple juice. However in another drink the same door is made out of grapes and passion fruits to signify 1oz of Grapefruit juice and 1oz of Passion fruit juice.
It’s this kind of overlapping that is getting me confused and making me wary of learning any more before perfecting these ones.
The question I have is, because I’m using the same journey for each drink. Whats the best way to ensure I don’t mix up these ingredients?
Disclaimer: I’m still very new to this however even with these mixups I’m still learning 10x faster than I would without it. I may have messed up the idea of memory palaces as I could have misinterpreted the idea behind it.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
