That’s cool, I don’t know about it.

@Sarojmote now you have to record your match too, and I wanna see division 2 player live too. It’s fun to watch.

@FlorianMinges That is correct, yes, division 1 and 2 have to record their matches.

Oh, I didn’t know, good thing you spoke about it. I hope it’s easier than it sounds.

Thanks for reminding me.

If you are in division 1 or 2, please record your matches with a camera diagonally behind you showing your screen, head and hands.

After the match, upload your video to Dropbox. Videos will not be shared publicly.

If your match is being streamed on Twitch, there’s no need for you to make your own recording.

@Philodoof It is quite easy. Zoom works nicely for that with its recording function.

Start a Zoom call, check the setup of you and your opponent and hit the recording button.

After the match you stop the recording and after the Zoom meeting is over, Zoom will convert the recording into a normal format.

This file will then be saved in a local “Zoom” folder from which you can also upload it to the link given by @Simon above.

So far I don’t even know how to start a Zoom call. :smiley: It might be easier with normal camera modus on a Smartfone, or am I mistaken?

I just noticed that the strongest 3 Division 2 players are all in 2B. Boris, Naoki and Vishvaa. Are you sure you want to keep it that way? I feel like divisions on the same level should at least be similarly strong.

@Philodoof Your opponent can send you a link and you would just have to click it.

I think I’ll try it with OBS. Just tried it out alongside daily single player training. It is saved on my computer instead of my phone so I won’t have to worry about having enough storage. What I worry most at the moment is the energy level of my Smartfone. It was at 33% and lasted around 20 minutes only. Also my Smartfone got warm during filming. Maybe I should get a Webcam after all.

That’s a good point. The competitors were listed in order of the Season Scores Leaderboard (or regular leaderboard for those that didn’t play season 12) and each pair in turn were randomly assigned to a and b. Unfortunately it didn’t come out very evenly in this case. We won’t change the divisions now but I will change the approach slightly to avoid this issue in future seasons.

@Simon Can we upload a test-video in order to get a feedback on whether or not the camera set up is adequate?

Absolutely, great idea!

@Simon Thank you. I just uploaded my test video. Let me know if I need to change anything for my upcoming league matches :slight_smile:

Edit: The upload was stuck, so I had to try again. It should be uploaded now.

@SilvioB

It looks great, thanks. The camera angle is perfect.

The screen is a little overexposed so it’s hard to see that clearly. Perhaps reducing the camera’s exposure level slightly, or having more background light in the room, would help there. But it’s also acceptable as it is.

Hi @Helianthus How’s going !
I have time 11 august at 11 am time Colombia
do you think it’s OK?

@DianaAcevedo

Things are different this season - you don’t need to write messages to your opponent to arrange a match time. Just use the Availability table to show when you are available, and when you see an overlapping time, schedule the match by entering the date/time on the Memory League site. Your opponent will be emailed and asked to confirm the match time.

Thanks @Simon
