Learning a language is not just about using mnemonics for words, phrases, and grammar. It is also the ability to translate and read a foreign language. Here is an interesting exercise that you can do every day to get good practice.
Open the news resource of the country whose language you are learning. Find an interesting article. For example, from the economic news (they are neutral and less susceptible to propaganda).
Imagine that you also work as a journalist and review economic news. You are tasked with translating a foreign note into your native language, into your newspaper/news resource. You need to do the translation as accurately and faithfully as possible, close to the original.
- You have a text in a foreign language in front of you;
- Translate it into your language;
