Hi, new user here, needing some help to choose a memory technique . This pertains to my sidejob, so i will be extra grateful for any suggestions. i am in dire need of a technique for memorising grids like the one in this post. the grid represent combinations of 2 poker cards that can be dealt to me. each grid corresponds to the situation stated in the title of the grid. i need to remember what the grid sugest me to do with each combination of 2 cards, and it needs to be instantaneous, or as close to that as posible. i will be using what i learn all days, so keeping the knowledge fresh wont be a problem. some grids will be simple, like the blue one. others will be more complex, like the one with multiple colors, where each color means a diferent action. i am using this tag for lack of a more fitting one, if its wrong please say so.
should have said it in the post, but the full set of tables was made by poker player zeros, and is available at https://zerospoker.com/videos/tablas-para-jugar-al-preflop-al-poker-2-0-nivel-intermedio-y-principiante/ along a video in spanish of how to use them
This may not be an efficacious idea, but I’ve thought about memorizing preflop charts by the 169 hands, not by position and action before. So, for example, given A6o, you might want to open on the button and later, but fold in the cutoff and earlier. Maybe for A5o you 3-bet from the SB or later, mix in some 3-bets and folds on the button, and fold in the cutoff and earlier. Then just memorized 169 of these types of info?
EDIT: Fixed grammar mistakes from typing on my phone.
thats a possibility a didnt thought about. i will consider it to see if i can give it a practical spin
Hi,
I would use the existing grids to create mnemonic places.
Make sure you delineate values for & by Horizontal & Vertical! Incorporate colors to bolster your mnemonic.
Come up with a mnemonic for each value
