Would you change the narrative in order to make the mouse stronger?

Why do you need the mouse in the first place? To remind you that it’s Genesis 30 and not 31 or 32? You could have just set up your memory palace for Genesis in a way that this story happens at the 30th location.

The second to last paragraph in this post gives an example of how to lookup the n-th digit of pi by means of loci rather than mnemonic… imagine I had to put a mouse at the 30th location, let alone a lot more location markers throughout the 2,000 digits:
