Although I have already used these methods, my memory speed is still much slower. I hope to find an effective way to train the speed.

Try pacing just a little bit faster than you can currently handle. For example, if you can get 30 numbers in 2 minutes, try decreasing that time until you fail. Then work that speed until you can 100% it. Whenever you have successful runs, set your pace faster, this way you’ll see consistent incremental success which will translate to large gains over time.

As of today, the results of my training are as follows:
Numbers - 30/60s (0-99 all correspond to a physical object, and then connected with a story)
52 playing cards - 6min (I use a memory palace, each playing card corresponds to one thing, and then put them into my palace in groups of 2)
Images-20 pictures/60s

In fact, I don’t think this is fast. I would like to know if there is a faster way.

I think there may be something wrong with my method. I read a lot of methods on the forum. Compared with those methods, my method seems very crude and has great limitations. But I don’t know which one can really achieve the desired effect.

Have you looked into PAO combined with memory palace for numbers and cards? This may be a smart next level system for you to go for. It will require some time to build the list and drill it to get fast, but the compression advantage is worth it, in my opinion.

If you have a 2-digit PAO system built for numbers, you can use the same list for playing cards as well. There are a few threads on the forum describing how this can be done. Here’s my list as an example, using the Major System for all elements. The explanation for how to use it for cards is in the same thread, a few comments down. This way you can merge 6 numbers or 3 playing cards into a 3-element scene at each loci. 5 loci would be all you need for 30 numbers. 17 or 18 loci for a deck of cards. The scenes are usually easier to visualize and remember than a very long chain of single objects.

I have established a new pao system, which is a group of 6 numbers. I have trained it for a few days.

I found that simply viewing the scenes in the Memory Palace from the perspective of a bystander is not very memorable. Maybe it’s because the pictures I imagined are not funny and interesting enough, but I have tried my best to make the pictures interesting in my understanding.

But if I imagine that I am that person, experiencing some ridiculous behavior, my memory will be very strong.

Despite this technique, I’m still curious about how memory masters imagine these interesting images. Maybe it’s because I’m a boring person.

I once read a book called “The Harvard Memory Method” which introduced four techniques for memorizing an image.

  1. Make things huge
  2. Make things very numerous
  3. Make things come alive
  4. Let the function of a thing change into another function.
    The fourth one may not be explained very well. Let me give you an example, such as making glass turn into a book that I am reading.
