Memory Training for Learning Music

Any musicians on here been able to apply these techniques to learning music — chord progressions, etc?

I can see how these techniques are easily applied to song lyrics.

I say all of this as someone that has been playing for 30 years and teaching for just as long. I’m a professional musician.

So, I already am able to learn music quickly. I’m just curious if anyone has tried applying these memory techniques to music, and, if so, what their results have been?
