I’ve posted on here a couple of times before about trying to find a way of utilising music with memory palaces and for a long time never managed to find a good way of doing it, until I had a breakthrough a few days ago.
Some background; I’ve been a DJ for a long time and have a VERY large and eclectic music collection and that was the reason for wanting to make use of my vast music knowledge.
I use the Dominic system and for the last year or so I have been using a series of characters for the PAO system I created, but I have now changed the O to an M!
Instead of Person Action Object I now use Person Action Music and for each number/character I have them singing/interacting with a song/artist related to that number and I find it much easier to remember:
For example here are a few of the songs I use:

1 - One love-Bob Marley
2 - It takes 2 - Rob Base
3 - 3 is the magic number - De la soul
4 - Whats up - 4 non blondes
5 - I want you back - Jackson 5

I was surprised at how relatively easy I found songs for every number from 0 through to 99 and songs that I can easily remember, and just to doubly ensure I would remember them all I put all 100 tracks into a playlist folder and then edited each of those tracks down to a 5 to 10 second clip. Just doing that process alone was enough to reinforce it in my mind.

Bloody well played that man! The German in me hopes that 99 is Nena…with the nicely mnemonic armpits? 80 Killing Joke? Personally I would have gone for Lena Lovich on 1 cos i’m of that era. * wonders how he could get Sig Sig Sputnik in *

I am definitely trying this. unfortunately, I rarely learned/remembered titles and musicians, so I am trying this website that looks promising for more than that actually. You can actually whistle and they’ll find you corresponding melodies. Doesn’t work on my tablet unfortunately.

I’m also looking for an app that will try to combine text to melodies in the public domain, classical music melodies, children songs??

In your songs you are presently trying out this way, are there some that really work better than others for you?

I created the spreadsheet in Google Sheets which doesn’t allow you to embed music files, so I don’t know how to share the music clips?
I’ve saved the playlist as an m3u file if anyone wants it?

I should point out that there’ll be many of the numbers that will not make sense to anyone as some of them are places I lived, friends, sports teams etc

Google can be pretty frustrating sometimes! It seems I can only share within my organisation!
