Memory Palace for Card Depletion and Segment Tracking. Applications to other card games?

Thank you for the response. With card counting a running count is kept, one number that starts at zero, and you add and subtract from that number as you see cards that have assigned point values. 2-5 are +1, 10-K and -1 one, 6-9 and Ace have a value of zero. You then take the running count and divide by the number of decks remaining. If I have a running count of +3, and .75 decks remaining, I do 3/.75 and get +4 for my true count. True count represents the surplus of 10s per deck, 10s favor the player, so more money needs to be bet to cover the more frequent unfavorable situations. The Gordon count has a 96% accuracy at identifying 10s surplus situations.
With a side count of tens, you also need to count every single card being played, it is too difficult to estimate the remaining cards to come up with an accurate density of tens. So you take the side count of tens remaining and divide it by the total number of cards remaining. You need a ratio over .325(or .33?) to have an advantage. Doing 12/30 is much more difficult,(impossible for me) plus counting every card and memorizing every card.
Using mnemonic side counts with a traditional card counting system I believe is a healthy compromise of dollar per hour loss versus mental fatigue since I will be trying to play a few hours at a time, with the bulk of my advantage coming from playing decisions.
I’ve only played several hours of Rummy, but my idea was Four 13 loci palaces A-K, with the loci the same or similar across the four palaces. All four of the Ace loci, in each palace would be the entrance. One could be a screen door, one could be a gold door with fancy trim, one could be a vault door, and the last one a sliding door. Door would only be used for Ace, but each are distinct enough to not get confused. This provides a link in between the palaces and each loci per rank should use a similar locus in this regard. This creates a grid format, where rank and suit have their own “path”. It is also adding another image associated with your speed card system. Ace of hearts is a proud Mexican man with an sombrero, so he would be tied with one of the doors. When I see the Ace of Hearts played, I’d add the deck image to the proud sombrero man at the golden door.
This would require creating imaginary memory palaces, but the structure is so important for effective and fast recall, that I believe it is well worth the time if you cannot find well structured existing MPs. I personally prefer using old jobs that I will not return to, and shape shifting the existing place to fit my needs. I’ve added loci and even rooms that never existed besides in my mind.
I’m unsure if I elaborated enough, let me know!
