Memory and lucid dreaming

Hey everyone !

I saw that already some posts have been made on this subjects but a few years ago so I found interesting to bring it back now

I am a lucid dreamer (since I am a kid). I mainly use lucid dreams on “hobby” purpose. But I remember watching a documentary once talking about how some athlete use lucid dreams to get better and train.

So my question is : is there any other lucid dreamer here ? (or people that would love to become!) and did anyone practice memory in lucid dreams and can it be trained in it or used ?

Never thought about really doing it but I’d be curious to see if theres any other lucid dreamer here and share experiences about it

Hi,

I do Dream Yoga or Milam…inherited by the Tibetan Buddhists.

In Dream Yoga, the point is to be aware of the dream while in the dream.

I have not practiced memory training in a dream but I have been aware of being in the dream while in it.

It’s like you go to sleep and blank out and then you “wake up” in the dream BUT you need to be aware that it’s a dream IN the dream next.

Stefos
P.S. Dream Yoga by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche is the book I recommend.
The most recent version…no older ones.

I practice Lucid Dreaming (but with no consistency at all nowadays…), but I’m new in the art of memory… Maybe in the future I can answer to your question, but with my actual knowledge… I think it’ll be too difficult for me. I never dream with the same location, and I think I have not much dream controll to recall locations by will.

Yep, I do.

I even tried the memory palace that I see in my lucid dream. After wake up, I just picked by notebook and draw the pictures of memory palace that I saw in my lucid dream.
I tried this only 2 times, after that I didn’t get any dream of loci .

I mostly find different types of idea in my lucid dream, about study related things and techniques.

I just added a new tag for lucid-dreaming so that it’s easier to browse through the posts about it.
