I just got the book today from the UK (only cost two dollars in the US plus shipping through an Amazon seller group.).
I knew about the method of loci, but didn’t know it was easier than a technique in pmemory called the chain method. I’m not going to mention the items because of copyright but less than three times after imagining myself as Goku from DBZ (my favorite Anime character before luffy hence the name luffy28) doing the planets far away from the sun I can now most likely name them.
I have one of his books (Maximize Your Memory), but I’m not familiar with the one that you mentioned. I think that it’s okay to write about techniques in the book as long as you don’t copy the text exactly or paraphrase what he wrote too closely.
I’d be interested to hear more about the technique. I’ll also try to find a copy of the book, since I haven’t heard of it until now.
I forgot the technique, but it was about putting yourself through various pictures and memorizing through sight and taste.
For mercury you use a thermometer, for venus you picture the venus god,for earth you visualize crashing into Earth,For Mars imagine a Mars (chocolate company) bar being a part of the muddy earth etc…
