Hi guys, another question.
I want to remember vocab from IT. I figure I should learn to turn things into Mnemonics so I can place them in a memory palace. So I’m drawing pictures for each word and the meaning of the word. Does that sound right so far? Or should I have a mnemonic just for the word?
For example, DNS and the definition. It turns names into numbers.
So DNS reminds me of VNS, a vagus nerve stimulator, for people with a seizure disorder. The Vagus nerve is in the neck region. There’s a magnet device that the person holds up to their neck to turn on the device. I imagine a person holding a magnet drawing numbers, 1,2,3 out of their neck, and on the other side of the magnet, there’s name, Bob, Bill, Bryan.
PoE-Some devices, rather than using a separate cable for power, use an Ethernet cable. Not only does Ethernet connect to the network but also is used to power the device. It’s used in situations where power is difficult to run to the device. Ex. cameras, phones, access points
I imagine Edgar Allen Poe. Holding a lighting bolt, as if it were a pen, to a piece of paper, the lightning bolt shoots power. For Ethernet, I write “Either he lives or dies in the poem”. And there’s a trash can where all the crumbles papers are, but the trash can is in the shape of a net. I make sure that the Lightning Bolt Pen is over top the Either word and Net Trash can. Power over Ethernet. Does that make sense?
After I make all these Mnemonic I will have to figure out how to put them in a memory palace. But does this sound good so far. Is there something I’m missing? Thanks for the help everyone.
