Memorizing Letter/Number combos for medical school

Hi!

I’m having trouble figuring out the method to memorize letter/number combos. I’ve been using the major system for numbers but am not sure how to then further integrate letters. Additionally, I’m having a couple issues with number details (below). Specifically, this for medical school.

Here are a few examples of the type of details I’m trying to keep straight (the numbers are arbitrary):

Numbers:
1-2 days vs. 1-2 weeks vs. 1-2 months (how do you add the “week” or “month” piece?)
1.2 (eg. how to remember if it’s between 1-2 versus 1.2 versus 1,2,3,4…, versus 12?)

/<145 (how to make it greater than, less than, equal to, etc.)

Other:
C3 vs. C3 convertase vs. C3 nephritic factor vs. C3C
IgM, TNF-b, TNF-a
PR3-ANCA/c-ANCA vs. MPO-ANCA/p-ANCA

As a general note, sometimes I’m making memory palaces from scratch, but often I’ve been using pre-made base images developed by Sketchy Medical (and then l modify them to include more detail). This is convenient I think in most cases because it saves A LOT of work, but gives me less control over the images and symbols used since much of it is pre-made.

If you have a lot of repeating things, one idea is to group them by location (if they aren’t already grouped by location in some other way). Another idea is to create separate image modifiers to represent “weeks” or “months”.

For letters,I make images that correspond to military call signs,i.e.alpha, Juliet, Sierra.
For decimals, dashes, and other punctuation, come up with a similar image or action: you could have a maxi pad/tampon for decimal (cuz, period), a runner for dash, etc.
For time periods, you could group as mentioned, or similar images: a sun for day, a wimp or conversely barbells for week (weak), and so on.
