I’m thinking of memorizing as many pie numbers as possible with a story, here I have the first ten numbers after the dot.
the story:
In a toy store, a digital clock on the wall indicates 14:15. Under the clock, a balloon attached to a toy duck that resembles the number 92. The toy duck is on an office table behind which are two chairs, on which the shop owner, who is 65 years old, and his 35-year-old daughter sit.
Let’s complete the rest of the story together.
This is the first 100 numbers
3.1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 5820974944 5923078164 0628620899 8628034825 3421170679
If your objective is to recall +/- 100 digits of Pi, the best technique to do so would involve a memory palace with 17 loci where you would place a Person/Action and Object at each loci along a familiar route. For example using the first 6 digits after the decimal point from Pi you gave above would yield: 14-15-92 as the Person/Action/Object at the first loci. Using the characters I have in my Dominic System gives: AD-AE-NB or Jesus (AD) ‘chalking up formula’ (AE) on a White Stallion (NB), where AD = Jesus, AE = Albert Einstein and NB = Napoleon Bonaparte. Placing mini-movie scenes like this at 17 loci in sequential order will get you to your objective.
Thank you
But techniques such as memory palaces create unrelated stories
And I forget them after a while
As for when it is one arranged story, I memorize it from the first time
And no matter how much time passes, I remember it easily
They sit on digital device, breaking clock display which flashes 89:79. They fixing it, so it flashes 32:38. It stops flashing and displays 46:26.
The girl say she late for appointment at 43:38 but the man reschedules for next AM 32:79. Does anyone really care what time is, i cant imagine
I care about time and I can’t imagine it that way.
Imagine on the play shelf a set of hourglasses that look like the number 8, next to them are dolls in the shape of an elephant whose ears and trunk look like the number 9, and next to it a set of dice that reminds me of the lucky number 7, and next to it a set of whistles that look like the number 9.
The shop entered a family consisting of a 32-year-old wife, a 38-year-old husband, a 4-year-old daughter, and a 6-year-old son.
(The rest of the numbers I think are on the toys, the price of the toys, the ages of the customers, and some customers may exchange their phone numbers after they met by chance in the shop and talked about memories that also have numbers, and I might add other ideas)
If you were not aware, there is a Major System mnemonic for the first 100 digits. My turtle Poncho will, my love pick up…
My pattern was double digits <3> <6> <8> which just kind a looked nice for a while. But this puzzles me. And most every one would do as you did. But i would have finished the story to the 100th digit. Might be i have OCD or autism traits.
edit
Sorry for being ambiguous.
This is the story i would have finished.
My turtle Poncho will, my love pick up…

I always use three digit numbers.

I have a request.
While most people find that the method of loci is better, I certainly can see how the story method could work better for you.
However, trying to remember numbers like you’ve described is not really making use of a memory technique. You’re just memorizing numbers. For example, the family walks in. You have to have memorized the numbers 32, 28, and 4. Nothing in your story reminds you of those numbers. Same for the shop owner and daughter, and even the clock. If you’re going to rely on prices of the items as well, you might as well just use rote memorization and memorize the numbers. I do know people who have memorized the first 100 digits of pi without any techniques.
The memory techniques that can help rely of the fact that as humans we are programmed to remember images. Not numbers and letters. You’re not taking advantage of that ability.
You might be 100% and i wish i could have said it as well, but he is doing SOMETHING that works.
I was real good at poker, till i read a book. It would be a shame if Adel loses more than he gains. I might be naive to think his story technique gives him an inate memory of digit sequences.
Thank you all for your interaction, anyway I gave up on taking advantage of what you call memory techniques and it’s over. Please delete my account from the forum.
