List of French Mnemonics

I started a list of mnemonics for French vocabulary in the wiki: https://artofmemory.com/wiki/French_Vocabulary

If you have any French vocabulary mnemonics, add them. I’ll be contributing periodically, so the list is rather small yet (just a couple mnemonics that I used recently.) It would be cool if we could get a large amount of vocabulary up, so that learners of French (when they’re having trouble with certain words at the least, can look them up.)

Have you seen Memrise they seem to be doing a similar thing on a much larger scale.

Wow, this is a pretty professional-looking program. Can you search mnemonics? I think many people have done this before – you can actually buy books that are nothing but words and mnemonic handles. But I want something open-source, something easily searchable, and, most importantly, with multiple mnemonic handles. I often find that the mnemonics that some choose don’t work as well for me as ones others choose. Thanks for the link, though! I like how clean it looks, and that there is pronunciation (though it’s almost overly formal). I might pass some time on here. I’m going to have to research it more.

There’s a great program that uses nothing but mnemonics. It’s called Linkword and I’ve used it for Spanish, and there’s for French as well.
I used it maybe 1,5 years ago and some of the images, for words that I now know, are still there in the mind

With a little demo to try, I just did and with the first try I know six new words in French :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m french if you have any questions
