I’m learning Swedish. I’m using the FSI course, which is good at explaining some things, but is pretty fast paced.
Each chapter begins with a dialogue, which you are meant to remember.
Here’s an example of a phrase from a dialogue:
How would you go about remembering the list of words and phrases?
The problem is that the spelling often does not correspond to the pronunciation, and they tend to link words together. Also many sounds cannot be found in English.
I’m thinking of using Anki and some memory images to remind me, although finding and using memory images is very tricky.
Is there a way of getting a text-to-speech program to generate files for anki?
