Learning Geography with a Mind Map

Here is an interesting example of learning the provinces of Belgium with a mind map:
Geography: A (mind) map of Belgium

Useful, thanks Josh.

Thanks Josh. However i’m curious how they can make such nice mindmap? I’m using iMindMap6 but cannot do it…Any advice?

I’m not sure how they created it. I’ve only use iMindMap a few times. It’s a great program, but my laptop has Linux on it and I don’t think it runs on Linux.

Maybe import the images and then drag them onto the branches? I’m not sure…

I just searched and it looks like there is a new online editor for iMindMap, so I’ll try it later. I’m about to do some software updates on this site first…

I know this is old thread, but maps are exactly one of the things I want to memorize. In the link, there’s picture of Belgium with the counties having pictures on them. Is this kind of map effective? It seems like remembering stock images of things like a brick wall or soccer player is less effective that imaging a real object.
