I know from books like “Make it stick” and “A mind for numbers” that it’s a great and important thing to let space between retrieval but is it also the case for memory palaces?
I really love going through them daily and i also feel better because i have the feeling that it makes the information easier to retrieve but i try to stop myself because i read many times :
Immediately
1 day later
1 week later
1 month later
3 months later
Hope that doesn’t sound that weird.
Thanks for reading and maybe for the answers ^^
Spaced repetition is definitely important for memory palaces, too. There are different schedules, but you‘ll have to find out for yourself, what works best for you personally.
I use this schedule for all my long-term memory palaces:
Some people might need less reviews, some might need more.
Thank you for your answer!
I will try it first with the the schedule from Dominic O´Brien
If this schedule isn´t good for me, i will definitely give yours a try ^^
I used to use Anki software for reviewing my Memory Palaces with spaced repetition technique…
However,Mind Palaces that I use regularly don’t need to be reviewed,as I’m recalling them frequently anyway! And the more I use MP,the better they get!
Thanks for the answer!
To be honest, i hoped for a answer like yours because i love to go through MPs but i will give the spaced repetition a chance.
I think that i will test it with a schedule for half my MPs that are for the next month important and the other half, will be recalled when i need them or want to visit them.
